Unspoken Affections: A Poetry Series

The idea behind this work was random and it all started out in bits that i write on a napkin and in my notes app. I had been thinking about how do i channel my feelings into something cinematic. And the result was this poetry series. At first i wrote a rough draft surrounding the idea that i had in my mind but later wrote a short story, which is now basically a prologue to a book that i'm done writing. I don't know when i will get to share that but apart form that only a few scenes that were intimate ended up making this small set of poems. I don't want to reveal the entire plot. But what i can tell you is that, this work of mine, deals with the unspoken feelings, words that you failed to speak in front of someone who meant the world to you. Obviously, it is all fictional but there is also an personal layer to this work.
I wrote this about a character that makes me appear like somebody who committed infidelity because my muse at that time didn't inspired me to write this. Its a character born in my mind. The real story that rests in the vault right now is actually complete but these poems reflect only a pseudo version of that story since the real feeling of heartbreak and regret is still missing in these poems. I have to experience that for me to even write about it.When i first began writing this, i had this idea of confessing love to somebody on a ferris wheel after watching it in a movie. I even wrote about 5 songs-perfect for an EP and a short film script for it. This is that much of an important story to me because it is the first time i stepped out of poetry to write something bigger.
