Stars in Summer Sky

below the star stream across the sky
the milky way looked beautiful tonight
its just the sound of your sighs and ocean waves
and my hand in your hand covered in sand

there were firefly around
dancing and shinning in darkness
as you look at me with a tender gaze
then pointing your favorite constellation in the sky

This poem is part of "Daisy Summer: A Poetry Series". It is about Campus Confessions muse.

Summer Nights

at night,
i escape to the roof
and count the stars that are present
and match them to a count when my lover was here

every summer brings back memories
when i saw the yearn in those eyes,
begging me to not leave
and promised to the stars in the sky

the sky is same
constellations decorating my night
and moon is still hanging around
except my love has become foreign

This poem is part of "Daisy Summer: A Poetry Series" and is about "I Sent The Text:Part-I" muse, who showed me cosmic love and shared passion for astronomy with me only to disappear on me.

Fire in My Dreamland: The Prologue

one night a fire broke out
in my dreamland
the stars that i glued to the ceiling
they all fell down
after burning like a comet
and crashing onto me like a weight i must carry

This poem is part of "Fire in My Dreamland: A Poetry Series". It begins with the metaphor of stars crashing down, tying the feeling i discussed in "Astronomy: A Love I Could Never Have" poem of mine. This poem lays the foundation for gentle readers to understand the inner turmoil in the mind of this poet.

The Promised November

the promised november never arrived
it's still the same covered in fog
and smoke from the old world
when my life was at crossroad

november's blood moon
and stars told a different story of my fate
i die every night and think about it
when my god promised to love me more

This poem is connected to another poem of mine titled "November 8 and Eclipse". In that poem i talk about two events happening on same date. On one date, somebody went to heaven and on same date something good was promised, maybe a conversation related to eclipse. Again, it is very deep and has connection to astronomy. But before the promised november could arrive, the new connection this character had found with somebody faded away or you can say that the savior decided to leave.

November 8 and Eclipse

my elegy-
my muse covered in death
my wistful cry for help
innocence in her eyes
her last words and hug with a embracing smile

promises made and promises fade
8th of november, when moon turned red
the curse would lift but my roses turned black
the great eclipse returned and claimed another laugh
death of me inside
my lover absquatulated me by that time

lost two souls
on and by-
november 8 and another goodbye
two different years but same eclipse
cursed my sky, stole its shine

About this poem
Written on- November 7, 2024
This poem is about two most important people in this poet's life that i had lost on and by November 8, 2022. I believe in astronomy and this poem certainly has ties to the certain events. This is all  i can tell you.

Astronomy: A Love I Could Never Have

everyone is going to their place of dream
their pen and papers screams pride and dignity
and in the fate's script it only talks about my failure
my efforts led me to nowhere but my defeat
i'm envious of everyone who got to follow their dreams

i learnt about the stars, galaxies and cosmos
so one day i could steal a portion of their shine
to add in my name
learnt a language to study in a foreign land
but my dreams collapsed, i cried, i state

This is the original version of my poem "Cosmic Longing: Un Amore Irragguiungible". Even though i wrote this in 2024 but when i thought my message was not clear in this piece, i re-wrote an entire new poem. Even though the message is same, i treat this one poem as different. It speaks of the heartbreak the earlier one failed to speak. In other words, i should've just stick with this one.

Looking at Stars

just looking at the stars
my curiosity reaches its high and
tells me to fly through them

i will enter the interstellar space-
a place between the stars
that will send me love for coming trillions of miles apart

the love which is different
from the one that you get on your planet
where bodies are buried everywhere and ashes in the soil

the love which is different
that will never hurt you and
one can dream of it after death

just looking at the stars
makes me want to fly through them
for once i can't wait for everything to end

About this poem
Written on- February 9, 2024
This poem has been sitting in my drafts for over a year now and i never tried to finish it until today. I had to edit some lines to match the setting of this poem. This poem is about escapism, the kind of escapism one can have through death where i feel like their soul will fly through the stars. Whenever i look at the sky, this has always been my wish.

Cosmic Longing: Un Amore Irragguiungibile

everyone flying high above the clouds
a gasp and i fell on the ground,
my blue ink is now red, glittering with tears
their blue ink fought the great war, the real winners
pain for evermore caused by the dagger,
a dream so grand, an epic defeat
a search party sent into the woods,
i pray now & then to rise
a latibule to reverse the augury
ended up in a chimera
someone set fire to the woods
suffering from asphyxiation
learnt about the twinkling lights in the sky
learnt about the script that was never mine
i dreamed to be so high, stargazer is just a word now
my dream shattered, i cried
an excruciating pain

It is a poem birthed from the inner turmoil in my head that is never at peace. It's about trying your best, giving your everything but still ending up in a shitty place, knowing the pain that comes from it is here to stay and will haunt you for evermore because when you finally accept the defeat, you look for reasons, reasons to stay here and reasons to stay sane everyday. To be honest, this is actually the second version of a poem that i was originally started to write but that one is now a whole another poem and its called "Astronomy: A Love That I Could Never Have" because at that time i was feeling a lot of things. Like crying at the thought of being stuck in my life, for never getting to chase my dream, for being a loser and that thought still continues to haunt me.
