Summer Morning

warm sunlight
and bird's song in the distance
land painted by amber light
as i walk alone on a road

there are little drops of dew on grass
and the heat has started to settle in
flocks of birds ready to go in search of food
before it gets too hot outside

When Colors Returned

it had just rained
and sky is beginning to get its color back
as the birds are chirping
and trees look more green through my eyes
i'm listening to 'mirrorball' on repeat
the summer has refused to leave soon

This poem is part of "Daisy Summer: A Poetry Series". This is a simple poem that paints everything real that i saw before my eyes as i was sitting near the window of my room, listening to mirrorball song on repeat.

Stars in Summer Sky

below the star stream across the sky
the milky way looked beautiful tonight
its just the sound of your sighs and ocean waves
and my hand in your hand covered in sand

there were firefly around
dancing and shinning in darkness
as you look at me with a tender gaze
then pointing your favorite constellation in the sky

Dancing Summer: Part-II

while the peacock was dancing on the roof
doing his rightful part of courtship
a woodpecker was a noise, a distraction
as it was striking the bark of a tree

cold wind was blowing
and small drops of rain had started to fall
while on my way to home, with classical on repeat
i paused my music and stood there to feel the moment of beauty

This poem is part of "Daisy Summer: A Poetry Series". Dancing Summer is a metaphor for everything i witnessed that day from cold wind, flowing dark clouds to a peacock dancing.

Dancing Summer: Part-I

peacock dancing on a roof
in the middle of the fields
after it had rained in the morning
and the clouds are returning again

females are watching him
waltzing to be the attraction among ladies
he does his courtship display
asking her out so they can dance in the rain

Sky in the Puddle

i watched the clouds flow and change shape
the puddle was reflecting it all while i was list in my thoughts
i whispered myself how serene it looks
then a dragonfly flew past it
and a sudden breeze sent ripples in the water
distorting the sky and flinching me

This poem is part of "Daisy Summer: A Poetry Series". Even though this poem was written in winter, it is still about summer because i tried to paint that one scene from summer season that is not very special but i feel like we all have seen it happen.

Spring Vs Summer

wind through my hairs
sun's reflect shine on my face
music gracing my ears with melodies
i can feel the summer is at the door
knocking constantly to let her in our world
spring is somehow keeping hold on her
it won't fade till all flowers bloom
and bees enjoy the nectar
till there's fresh air from the trees
and rivers seem clean

This poem is part of "Daisy Summer: A Poetry Series". This poem is like another prologue poem for this series. I wrote this by personifying seasons as if they summer is fighting spring to knock at our door.

Daisy Summer: The Prologue

daisy summer and innocence
as the sweat glistens on the skin
when i'm cycling down the street
running with the pace of wind

spread my wings like a parachute
on a summer afternoon
music in my ears as i passes by the sea shore
as the flowers dances near the coast

This poem is part of "Daisy Summer: A Poetry Series". I wrote this poem after i finally got the idea the idea and title of the series.

Ravishing Summer Morning

waking up in the morning
to find bright light on the face,
there are birds chirping near the window
and in the next scene water dripping from the faucet

the silence i feel in the countryside feels
bigger than the world out there lying-
awaiting for me to step outside
and nothing else but to watch buildings?

ravishing summer morning,
a reminder to go out and
play by the river or
spend the whole season listening to music

About this Poem
Written on- June 5, 2024
This poem is my idea of a perfect summer, well not perfect to be exact. However, this is based on an image in my head. Its perfect for somebody like me who lives in the countryside, far from the sea shores or the Himalayas that sits far in the north. I wrote this poem last year however some lines were different than this one and i was unable to finish it because i was stuck on the idea of what i really think a perfect summer. So instead of being relatable, i chose to write my version of summer is. Summer is long gone in my region and currently its monsoon (rainy) season but i don't want this poem to sit in the drafts for another year.

Dark Clouds That Heal

on a little evening walk

lost in my thoughts

wondering what others are up to

while i'm left behind,

crushed with my own thoughts

the sky turned dark

cool breeze begins to flow

peacocks are singing

trees are dancing

clouds are weeping

i'm completely soaked,

not moving at all

dark clouds that heal

i want to drown

to come out alive

About- I was inspired to write this poem based on what is exactly mentioned in the poem like i was soaked in rain when i was running because i was lost in my own thoughts. It is one of the poem that reflects my depressive period.

Euphonious Summer Evening

Walking back home, I take my time

To feel that summer evening

The birds returning to their nests

The sun is glowing red

And the night is one step ahead

The sun’s beautiful reflection in the pond

And the cold breeze that hit me and down to my soul

I stand there in peace and hear the voices of crickets

The serenity I feel in the euphonious tracks of nature

Walking back home, I take my time to

Feel that summer evening

About- In the tranquil of summer's evening, where each breeze and euphonious voice tells a story of peace, and this poem is one of the reflections through this poet's lens. I believe it is to your like.

Lakeside Summer Serenity

I wrote this poem while romanticizing the summer at a time heat was already killing me.This poem screams an ideal summer to me and it is certainly not that deep because why are you even here? Go to a nearby lake and read my poetry.

dear gentle reader’s, go out and have fun
the summer is here, go visit a bookstore
feel the zephyr as it touches your face
when sun is up high and
swan’s playful game in the lake
sit by the lake with poetry in one hand
watch ladybug climb up your hand
lay down your head on the green grass
watch the paintings that tree shadow paints
forget your tiring efforts, make new memories
