Stars in Summer Sky

below the star stream across the sky
the milky way looked beautiful tonight
its just the sound of your sighs and ocean waves
and my hand in your hand covered in sand

there were firefly around
dancing and shinning in darkness
as you look at me with a tender gaze
then pointing your favorite constellation in the sky

Your Masterpiece

You tore me apart and left me in ruins
Then proceeded to kiss me after seeing shiny tears in my eyes
My cheeks were turning red and warm
Then with a smirk, you declared me as your favorite masterpiece
So ruin me, bleed me, hurt me, I was meant to be yours
Desert me and come back, you will always find me at my shores

Your Eyes

Up in the clouds and in between the meadows
Your eyes painting a shimmering picture
Of my whims, muses, stars and constellations
That won’t be brought down
If I keep staring into them

Chained by You

It felt like movies
There were purple colored flowers spread across the ground
And its just the dazzling view of you
Everybody else locked in my cold prison of haze
You were walking towards me
And proceeded to commit a tragic sin
your eyes whispered they want me too
I just want to be chained by you

Blurry Face Pt.1

9:39 pm and I cannot recall how you look
A struggle to recognize you among so many blurry face
I have seen you do many funny things
I have heard your laugh and your beautiful voice
Then seeing you acting nonchalant after putting your pen behind ear
But right now your face is a mystery that I cannot decode.

The Mark You left

The mark you left on my collarbone
Immersing itself with the red glow in the room
Your fingers still doing your thing through my hairs
As the smoke from your cigarette fills up my lungs
That’s when you whispered into my ears
While I was too high on your love
“do you still want me?” you asked
And I begged for more!

Love Like in the Movies

I want a love like in the movies
Where you pull up in your car at my house
And my sisters are yelling at me for making you wait
I want a love like in the movies
Where we go to a fun park
Where you and I sit next to each other, yelling out curse words
I want a love like in the movies
Where my toes are covered in the sand
As it falls from your fingers while I stare at the sea

To Be Loved By You

For once I want to be touched by you
Before you execute me on the panel of rejection
And your friends stand and laugh at my woe
For once I want to be touched by you
Before you call up the one you love
To meet you by your favorite spot for dinner
I want to be loved when the time is not great
And you become my only escape from this place

How Loving You Feels

I bleed myself on paper in form of poetry
Words that are always left unsaid
Despite the secret meetings our eyes held
It is only in this secret garden of mine
Where I can confess, experience love and intimacy
Then heartache followed by anxiety

Born in November

i ran to your place
when that story was over
throwing the skin and daggers away
and with departure of someone, that love rotted away

a nocturnal song echoed through the hall
when the ship arrived out of foggy water
i sat in regret, pain and carrying the weight of past
till you arrived like a savior, in november

Love in November

it's rare to fall in love
when your bones are crushed by november's cold
it's rare to feel anything but sadness for once
when you are already foretold by the fate
about how things would end
and how everyone would leave you by telephone

it's rare to see your fort remained safe
from all the shadows aiming their canons
when everything is swallowed by fog and the enemy is not far away
then a protector, a savior arrived carrying the gun
and made this fleeting feeling into a love affair
but i'm learning to outgrow all emotions
giving each shadow a separate mourning month

This poem is about a fleeting escape from reality through the window of love. Even a fleeting connection with someone could help you escape from the mess your life is in. This is what my poem is about.

The Art Room

In the school's art room
when no one was around
i sat, forlorn by my own grief
as a way to escape my pain

november had already broken my bones
my letters remained ignored
so i sat, and watched a friend paint
marking the beginning of something fleeting

This is one of my favorite poems in this series. It is simple yet carries a very deep meaning which is finding solace amidst the war you are fighting with your demons. It is about a friend (we barely talked like friends) that i would sit and watch paint. None of us were arts student. So i guess even for him it was a place he could escape to. But little did i knew, it was the start of something fleeting which would forever remain unspoken. There is a feeling of tragedy in this story, which inspired me to go beyond and write a short film script and songs about this story.

Plea in Our Eyes

in your eyes, there's a plea
as if they're in search of something warm and sweet
the look that you gave me sparked something
something very dangerous that needs to be handled with care and free
free of insecurities for it to bloom
bloom in the best shade of blue

my plea is to hold you dearly and close
never letting go of your hand and let it freeze
in november's cold when it's snowing outside the window
i'll build something with snow and let you laugh at me
my plea is to forever hold you close
and peace will never leave our door

About- This poem is about someone from my college who i fancy. The name of this muse is a mystery to me and that is what makes this even more vulnerable, pure and sacred to me.

Celosia in My Garden

in my periphery

you arrived at my door

with your guns and cannons

i wondered why the uproar?

marched into my house with full force

and aimed your cannons at my door

to destroy my peace and drag me to the sea

the celosia in my garden still flourishing in the war

been through your drought, my undying love

i hate you to your face

but I love you in my silence

my friends called it a “a toxic affair meant to be crushed

either by fate or by your lover’s hand”

About- This poem is about loving someone even if hurts you and i know some of you might think its toxic but sometimes that's how the love is, for me.

August Knocked at My Door

yesterday august knocked at my door

today he is once again here

and asked me if I’m fine

with every week, month, year passing

the time continues to count days dear

since you sail on your ship to seek peace

leaving a part of you engraved in me behind

stole my peace,

pushed me into the storm

who once was oxygen

is now a poison pushing me to grave

never ever before my eyes punctured at night

never ever before i thought of goodbye

i knew the risk i was taking

i knew how it would end

yet i chose to love you for your words

i still do, i fear
