Not Their Child

I’m being crushed in my own house

When suddenly they realise I’m not the child they wanted

When they realised I have failed academically

I’m suddenly a child who brought shame

They first start the argument

No one wants to hear my truth

I want to jump in a valley

And put this case to rest
